Robot paintings!

I have been painting lots of robots. Some of them are below. I write about some of them in my blog, which gets updated more frequently than this page.

We are a robot army, traveling the world:

When I hide behind the chicken pile, nobody can tell that I'm sad. I don't think I have the right software. Stop throwing rocks at my heart. I wish you weren't so far away. I want our paths to cross. Robot in Alison's clothing I have invisible wings. I thought I might feel better in a tree. I am not a robot. I'm a tree. Music-loving robot with headphones Robot blender I don't want to miss your birthday Robot platform I record sound for reality TV Parachuting Two robots stuck together with gum Helping hand I look like a penguin I am knitting you a scarf Pumpkin costume My arms and legs are freshly polished I will eat your tapes I monitor your existence I am ready to go Stretchy arms I am always thinking I'm trapped in a gelatinous cube I'm being pulled in too many directions You look a little funny today I wish I could tune you in I have rounded edges I don't want to get wet I am eager to help skinny bot I'm like a palm pilot, but we can hold hands I feel kind of out of it I will help your wrists feel better My arms don't reach to where you are I am timing you I am ready for the pool I forget what I was going to do today Hey, this gun only shoots bubbles! When I think about you, I blush You make my levels go off the chart I will help you adjust the levels I will give you showers so you stay clean I will keep your secret stuff locked up safe green guy My brain expands when I think I have a hole in my heart I will cook you dinner anytime you want I can only watch TV if I look in a mirror My legs are made of unmatched socks I wear my robot parka when I do magic I will help you with your projects Don't say I look like an '80s boombox Little stars Self portrait Robot bat Robot squid Stop staring at my pink things I am good at math I think I have a virus I will feed you healthy snacks I like it when you push my buttons I look kind of girly, but I can lift a car I have a puppet show in my head Yellow means slow Sometimes my head bounces I will keep you warm I will help you with your taxes I will knit you a Dr. Who scarf I am like a car wash for your dishes When you are away, i can water myself before there were robot vacuums I am small now your favorite TV shows
can follow you around I will spell out secret messages I am wearing too much eyeliner Robot with a robot puppet Punk rock robot I am fun Pirate radio robot I will update your weblog when you go away I have wings like a plane My antenna freaks me out Am I robot dancing? I have seven legs Disillusioned robot I will help you store your stuff Hose-bot Starry-eyed robot I am safe inside this suit My head is on crooked Robot revolution! I have a speaker so you can hear me purr I will carry the groceries I will wash your floor I am very bright I am not as bright

A bunch of the older robots (towards the bottom of that big cluster) were painted on postcard-sized bits of thick paper and mailed out with a stamp on the back. I like that they sometimes arrive a little damaged or marked up by the post office. A few of them are on 5x5 inch clayboard squares, and the robot blender is on a 12x12 inch canvas. Don't tell the others, but he's one of my favorite robot paintings ever.

I also have a few robots I painted on little pieces of an Amazon.com box. The green one ended up leaving, but the rest still live with me.

Hey, check out Meredith's robot bookshelf!

Watch a slideshow about a robot puppet I made. And check back again, because I'm sure there's more robot art to come.

Other projects.
